<p>Earl Phelps was born in Macon, GA, and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. As a self-taught artist, he started drawing at the age five in kindergarten class. Earl founded Phelps Publishing over 40 years ago and published and authored his first book, <strong><em>"How to Your Own Supercharacters"</em></strong>. He was one of the first to sell these types of books on how to draw Superheroes after Stan Lee's <em>"</em><strong><em>How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way"</em></strong> He advertised his books in Marvell and DC comics back in the 1980s and the early 90s before the small ads were discontinued. . Earl has authored and published several books since then. With his easy to learn style of teaching art, anyone can learn from his books. Some of his bestselling books include "<strong><em>How To Draw Supercharacters and Supermonsters"</em></strong> and <strong><em>"How To Draw Magnificent Mammals".</em></strong></p><p></p><p>As of the publication of this book, Earl has authored and published over 25 books, Earl's first published book was <strong><em>"How To Draw Your Own Supercharacters</em></strong>" his second book was <strong><em>"How To Draw Your Own Supercharacters II"</em></strong> and his third was<strong><em> "How To Draw Your Own Supermonsters".</em></strong> These three books were combined and titled <strong><em>"How To Draw Supercharacter and Supermonsters"</em></strong>.
