3M™ Cartridge is used to give protection against oil and non-oil based particulate contaminants, hydrogen fluoride and nuisance levels of acid gases. This cartridge is compatible with 5000, 6000 and 7000 series air purifying respirator with nuisance level acid gas relief. It is used in a variety of applications namely aluminum processing for concentrations up to 10 times and 50 times the permissible exposure limit with half Facepieces and full Facepieces respectively. Cartridge made of unique flexible material makes it to be worn in close quarters and its rugged design resists abrasion and wetting. This cartridge with 95% of filter efficiency is lighter and easier to breathe through than cartridge/filter combinations.

Applications:

• Aluminum processing
• Liquid or oil based particles from sprays that do not also emit harmful vapors
• Metal fumes produced from welding, brazing, cutting and other Operations involving heating of metals
• Hydrogen fluoride gas up to 10 times PEL
• Acid gases such as sulfur dioxide and/or Chlorine below the OSHA PEL or applicable government standards, whichever is lower

Caution:

• Do Not Use For: Gases and vapors other than Hydrogen Fluoride, when concentrations exceed the OSHA PEL, or applicable government standards, whichever is lower, including those present in paint spray operations, unless combined with approved chemical cartridges. Asbestos. Sandblasting. This respirator cartridge does not supply oxygen. Concentrations that exceed 10 times the OSHA PEL with a half facepiece, or 50 times the PEL with a full facepiece when quantitatively fit tested, or applicable government regulations, whichever is lower.
