Eleanor Watson is a contemporary British painter. Watson works with paint on canvas, and more recently by experimenting with printmaking to depict interior landscapes which evoke the heritage and tradition of stately homes. Referencing historic and photographic source material she selectively build layers and information which gives the viewer a seductive glimpse into her imagined world. Watson’s images are rich, textured, detailed, decadent, evocative and mesmerising. Information is carefully revealed and concealed, and spatial relationships are disrupted.
